A man is facing DUI charges after police say he was involved in a crash in Darien.
Darien Police say they responded to the area of 257 Mansfield Avenue on the report of a minor one-vehicle accident on Thursday, May 9 around 1:30 a.m.
Further investigation revealed that the driver involved in the crash, identified as 21-year-old Peter Thunem of Darien, was not in need of medical attention but was unsteady on his feet.
Thunem allegedly told officers that he had just come from a local establishment and admitted to drinking alcohol.

Thunem was released on $260 bond and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Court on Monday, May 20.
