A Greenwich woman wanted on numerous assault charges has reportedly surrendered to police.

Greenwich Police say Xuying Zhu, 27, responded to headquarters on an active arrest warrant on Friday, Oct. 4.

The warrant stems from an incident involving a physical altercation that occurred between Zhu and the victim in Byram in April 2019, police say.

The victim allegedly suffered from minor injuries during the altercation. Xuying was not present at the time of the investigation, and police subsequently obtained a warrant for her arrest.

Xuying was charged with second-degree strangulation/suffocation as well as second- and third-degree assault, as per the warrant. She was released after posting a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Stamford court on Monday, Oct. 7.
