Firefighters Rush To Luxury High-Rise In Stamford After Fire Breaks Out In Pump Room

Stamford Firefighters responded to what they thought was a two-alarm fire at a high-rise apartment complex only to find there was a small fire in the pump room.

The call for the fire came in around 11:30 a.m. Thursday for the 15-story AVA apartment building at 50 Forest Street, the department said on Twitter.

Once on the scene, they found the fire was contained to the pump area of the garage where a fire pump was smoking. 

No injuries were reported.
