The fire marshal's office is investigating an early morning blaze at a Fairfield County home that was undergoing renovations.

The fire took place in Greenwich early Thursday, Nov. 10 at the home on Palmer Hill Road.

The Greenwich Fire Department said in a Facebook post that when they arrived on the scene they found heavy fire conditions.

"Units were able to make a quick knockdown," the department said.

Searches were conducted and no one was found inside the home, the department said.

The department was assisted by firefighters from:

  • South Beach Fire Department
  • Cos Cob fire and police department
  • Amorgerone Fire Department

The scene was turned over to the Fire Marshal division for investigation.
