The body of a 22-year-old Fairfield County man was found dead on the campus of Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven.

Brookfield resident Sean Gallo was found unresponsive in his vehicle that was parked in the West Campus Parking Garage at approximately 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, school officials said.

Gallo was later pronounced dead. No foul play is expected in his death.

Officials said that Gallo was a junior at the school in his first semester after transferring from Naugatuck Valley Community College in Waterbury.

“Our deepest sympathies are extended to Sean's family and friends on this untimely loss,” University President Joe Bertolino said in a statement to students. Counseling services were made available for students on Monday, Oct. 21.

Gallo’s cause of death has not been determined.
