GREENWICH, Conn. -- Drivers should be alert on the Merritt Parkway at night in Greenwich this week as construction crews begin paving a 7.7-mile stretch of the road, according to a release.
The paving, which begins Tuesday, will run the entire length of the Merritt within the borders of Greenwich, from the New York line to Stamford.
The work will include longitudinal joint repairs, crack sealing, and replacement of catch basin tops, according to the release.
The paving is projected to cost $4.2 million and will stretch all summer through Aug. 30. Below is the weekly schedule of lane closures on that stretch of the Merritt Parkway:
- Monday-Thursday: northbound 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. and southbound 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Friday: northbound 8 p.m. to 9 a.m. Saturday and southbound 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. Saturday
- Saturday: 7 p.m. to 10 a.m. Sunday
- Sunday: northbound 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday and southbound 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday
