DeMaio faces up to 10 years in prison under the plea agreement when sentenced in March, the Stamford Advocate reported.

DeMaio and his wife, nutritionist Diane DeMaio, had a dispute in their home at 261 Round Hill Road that escalated to the point where he attacked his wife, according to police. She was hospitalized in critical condition after the attack.

At the time, DeMaio reportedly confessed the crime to Greenwich Police officers, saying he "lost it."
