Kendall Elementary School in Norwalk canceled in-person classes on Monday, Oct. 19 to allow the district and Fairfield County Department of Health time to contact trace to determine if anyone else may have been exposed to the virus.

New cases were also confirmed in Cranbury Elementary and West Rocks Middle School, officials said, forcing some students and staff members to enter a temporary quarantine as a precaution.

The news comes on the heels of multiple confirmed cases at the Brien McMahon High School and Center for Global Studies school communities, leading to quarantines for dozens of students and staffers.

Anyone who may have been exposed has already been contacted by the district, officials said.
