Waveny LifeCare Network officially became the new name last week, with a logo of a meandering river the cornerstone of the new look. “The purpose of the rebranding is to better communicate that we are a continuum of services,’’ said Kristin Sinatra, director of marketing. “It signifies the fluidity of the services that we provide.”

Waveny LifeCare Network’s mission is to provide "healthcare to serve the growing needs of adults in New Canaan and the surrounding communities,’’ according to the organization’s mission statement. “We offer a progression of therapeutic programs, services and living options to enhance quality of life for those we serve.”

The Waveny name and logo were inspired by The River Waveney in the English countryside. The river metaphor evokes the image of life’s journey, as well as the continuity of care, according to Sinatra. “The gently winding, bucolic waterway captures the ongoing presence of Waveny forward into the future,’’ she said.

Waveny LifeCare Network includes Waveny Care Center, The Village, The Inn, an Adult Day Program, Outpatient Rehabilitation services, Waveny Home Healthcare, the Brown Geriatric Evaluation Clinic, and Geriatric Care Management.

“The needs of people change as they age,’’ Sinatra said. “We strive to meet the needs proactively. Our goal and our mission is to offer a progression of programs to continually meet the needs of older adults, and families as well.”
