He doesn't know Jennifer Farber Dulos, but the thought of five kids without their mother was just too much for one Norwalk resident and business owner to sit back and do nothing.

That's when Sky Mercede, the co-owner of Forever Sweet Bakery on Main Street in Norwalk, came up with the idea to distribute flyers and magnetic stickers with the face of the missing New Canaan mother of five front and center.

"I couldn't stand the thought of those children without their mother," Mercede said. "I knew I had to take some kind of action."

After talking with the family he learned that the children are well cared for and didn't want for anything, except their mother.

Jennifer Dulos, 50, has been missing since Friday, May 24, after dropping off her children at school. She was reported missing later that same day after failing to show up to numerous meetings. Police found her vehicle abandoned near a park later that night.

Since then a massive search has been underway by New Canaan Police and the Connecticut State Police.

Her estranged husband Fotis Dulos, 51, and his girlfriend, Michelle Troconis, 44, were arrested on charges of tampering with evidence and hindering prosecution after two people matching their descriptions were seen dumping garbage bags at more than 30 locations in Hartford. Items inside the bag contained Jennfier Dulos' blood.

They have both pleaded not guilty and have bonded out on $500,000.

A garbage facility, parks, a reservoir, homes, and more have been searched in an effort to find Jennifer Dulos.

Police believe she is the victim of foul play and have been busy chasing down the more than 1,200 tips they have received.

But still, no Jennifer and the children remain with their grandmother in New York City.

The case has been followed by thousands of people. All asking the same thing, where is Jennifer.

Mercede can't bear the thought of what the children are going through.

"I've got to do something to help," he said. "If for nothing else than I know that I made an effort on behalf of the children."

Others feel the same way and have jumped on board helping Mercede print 1,000 color missing posters that have been put int the window of numerous businesses and on the front of hundreds of pizza boxes.

Pinocchio's of New Canaan and Dave's Planet Pizza of Norwalk have been great about volunteering to put the poster on the front of the pizza boxes, he said.

And, Joe Cammarota, the owner of Target Disposal in Stamford is putting the magnetic stickers on his trucks.

He also looking for people who are willing to help distribute the flyer to other businesses.

"You never know, maybe that one person will see a poster and remember something that will help solve the case," he said. "Taking action helps me cope, I hope it helps others as well."

Especially the children of Jennifer Dulos.
