Winfield Street Coffee will open at Ferguson Library this summer where it will occupy the space where Starbucks used to be until it closed in 2018.

Renovations will begin May 9 and completed by mid-August, said owner Breno Donatti.

The coffee shop will have an outside entrance at 96 Broad Street or you can enter from inside the library. Hours 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The coffee menu includes specialty beverages like Caramel Brulee Latte, Matcha Latte, Cashew Choco Milk, along with the standard espresso, latte, cortadito and more.

The food choices are extensive.  Locally sourced dishes include all-day breakfast—Sausage Wrap with egg and yogurt sauce, an option

Lunch items are Turkey Toast with feta and spiced hommus,  Salmon Furikake Bowl, rice, salmon sashimi, ginger sauce,  sea vegetable, furikake, poached egg, and bok choy, and Porchetta Bowl, porchetta, shallots, and poached egg.

"We will have a very comfortable layout for people to work there and families to have brunch. We will have about 32 seats inside and another 30 outside, said owner Breno Donatti.

Donatti also operates the Winfield Street Italian Deli in Westport and another Winfield Street Coffee at the Croton-Harmon train station in Croton-on-Hudson New York. He lives in Stamford with his family.

“The location at The Ferguson Library is very special to me, personally,” Breno said.

“I met my wife, Jeanette, exactly 10 years ago right on the steps of The Ferguson Library. I believe that coffee shops and libraries are just a natural fit. This community is excellent and the library is what glues the city together. We intend to bring the same joyful hospitality and creative food we have at our other locations.”
