Man Beats, Kidnaps Wife In Jealous Rage, Stamford Police Say A domestic dispute turned horribly wrong after a woman jumped out of a car in an effort to escape her husband who had attacked and forced her into a vehicle, according to Stamford Police. Sgt. Robert Shawinsky said the department was alerted to the situation Thursday after a Fairfield Avenue resident called police about a woman being kidnapped. Shawinsky said the woman was gone when officers arrived at the scene, but the witness told officers he saw two men running and a woman lying in the grass. One of the men running had called out to call the police because the woman was being kidnapped.…
