A driver allegedly threatened someone with a gun in a road-rage incident in Wilton then got nabbed by cops in Ridgefield, according to Wilton Police. On Friday, Aug. 16 at about 7:15 a.m., police responded to the area of Danbury Road and Mountain Road in Wilton on a report of the incident, police said. Failure To Maintain Lane Leads To DUI Charge For Ridgefield Man In Wilton, Police Say
A man from Ridgefield is facing DUI charges after failing to stay in the proper lane in Wilton, police say. Wilton Police stopped a 2014 Nissan Murano for allegedly failing to maintain the proper lane near the intersection of Danbury Road and School Street on Friday, March 1 around 2 a.m. Police say the driver, identified as 55-year-old Stephen Masciotti, allegedly gave several indications that he was under the influence. Head-On Crash Leads To Hours-Long Route 7 Closure
This story has been updated. A stretch of Route 7 was closed for four hours Friday morning following a serious two-vehicle head-on crash. The northbound closure occurred just north of Wilton High School between Olmstead Hill Road and Route 107/Route 57/School Street. The roadway reopened around 11 a.m. following an accident investigation. The crash occurred around 7 a.m. in New Street.
