Manslaughter Charge In Crash That Killed Longtime Attorney In Bridgeport
A 50-year-old has been charged with manslaughter and is being held on a half-million-dollar bond in connection with a crash that killed a popular community leader and longtime attorney.
Bridgeport resident Peter Tsimbidaros, also age 50, died a day after the crash that took place around 4 p.m., Wednesday, Jan., 1, near the corner of Ellsworth Street and Fairfield Avenue.
The two-vehicle crash involved a 2008 Chrysler van, driven by Keith Commerford, of Bridgeport, and a 2006 Honda CRV, driven by Tsimbidaros, a longtime attorney in the city, Bridgeport Police said.

A 50-year-old man killed during a two-vehicle crash with a Bridgeport man who had been involved in a hit-and-run crash the day before, has been identified by police.
