State Police Car Struck On I-95 In Westport, Driver Charged With Failure To Move Over
A 47-year-old man was charged with failure to move over after slamming into the back of a Connecticut State Police cruiser. The incident occurred in Fairfield County in Westport on I-95 southbound around 3 a.m. Saturday, July 27, on I-95 near Exit 17. According to State Police, a State Police cruiser was stationary, positioned in the left travel lane, with its emergency lights activated when a 2015 Kia Sorrento driven by New York City resident Sonny Abdul-Hardy of the Bronx, failed to move over or stop and slammed into the back of the cruiser. Woman, 59, Hit, Killed Walking Near Cemetery In Norwalk
Police in Fairfield County are investigating after a 59-year-old woman was struck and killed while walking near a cemetery. The incident occurred in Norwalk around 9:20 a.m., Friday, June 21, at 81 Riverside Ave. (Riverside Cemetery). According to Lt. Tomasz Podgorski of the Norwalk Police, officers responded to the area following a 911 call of an accident with injuries in which a pedestrian was struck. Person Found Dead In Car Floating In Norwalk River
Police are investigating an untimely death after a person was found dead inside a vehicle floating in the Norwalk River. The incident took place in Norwalk around 12:15 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 8, in the area of Moody's Lane. Police responded after the department received multiple 911 calls of a vehicle submerged in the Norwalk River, said Lt. Tomasz Podgorski of the Norwalk Police. Toxic Fumes Injure 4 During Haz-Mat Incident At Norwalk Business
Four employees of a Norwalk building warehouse suffered possible inhalation injuries following an explosion. The incident took place in Norwalk around 2:50 p.m., Thursday, April 13 at a warehouse building located at 16 Muller Ave. The initial call was for an explosion with a chemical release, said Timothy Reardon, deputy chief of the Norwalk Fire Department. Pedestrian Struck, Killed On I-95 Stretch In Norwalk
A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle on a stretch of I-95 in Fairfield County overnight. The incident happened in Norwalk on the northbound side between exits 15 and 16 at around 10 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, according to Norwalk Police.
