The incident occurred in New Haven County around 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, in Meriden, in the area of Kroneberger Park. According to Lt. Darrin McKay of the Meriden Police Department, officers responded after 911 callers reported that a child had been driving the go-kart and sustained life-threatening injuries in the crash. Man Run Over By Tractor At Farm In Connecticut, Police Say
A man was injured when he was run over by a tractor while working at a Connecticut farm. The incident took place around 1 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 18, at the Strawberry Farm located in Litchfield County in Washington, said the Connecticut State Police. An employee at a Connecticut food plant was seriously injured after becoming impaled on a pasta machine. The incident took place around 3:30 a.m., Monday, March 21 at Carla's Pasta, 50 Talbot Lane, in South Windsor, in Hartford County. Man Rescued After Nearly Drowning In Fairfield County
A 35-year-old local man is lucky to be alive after nearly drowning in a restricted swimming area at Indian Well State Park in Shelton. The Milford resident was swimming in the area of the waterfalls when he began having trouble shortly before 6 p.m. Wednesday, according to DEEP officials. EnCon, along with Shelton emergency services responded to the park for the report of a drowning, said Chris Collibee, DEEP spokesman. “Witnesses performed CPR until EMS arrived,” he said. One person suffered a serious injury in a wrong-way crash that led to the closure of a stretch of I-84 on Monday morning, Connecticut State Police said.
