The push by lawmakers in Connecticut to make pizza the official “State Food” has officially run out of gas. House representatives voted last month to designate pizza as Connecticut’s state food, bringing it to the Senate, though the bill is now dead after it did not get a vote after failing to make it into a series of laws for Gov. Four Arrested In Wilton During Statewide Warrant Sweep
Nearly 300 wanted suspects - including four in Wilton - were arrested in Connecticut as state and local law enforcement agencies took part in a statewide warrant operation. Stratford's Hoydick Steps Down As State Rep To Focus On Mayor's Duties
STRATFORD, Conn. — Stratford Mayor Laura Hoydick has made good on a promise to resign her state representative post if she were elected to the town’s top spot. On Dec. 29, Hoydick, who represents the 120th House District, officially submitted her letter of resignation in person at the office of Secretary of State Denise Merrill.
