Smith, who was based in Southport, is a Luxury Collection Specialist at the Berkshire Hathaway office in Fairfield, at 1583 Post Road. Smith will have her own sophisticated office space and more support staff to serve high-end clients looking to make a move.

Smith has ranked in the top 10 in the state and in the top 100 in North America of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services sales executives. She was named one of the top 7 Realtors in the country by Prudential, before it was acquired by Berkshire Hathaway. Her marketing and advertising programs have also won numerous awards.

She is currently marketing several luxury properties. At 402 Sasco Hill Road in Fairfield is a direct waterfront Regency style residence with water and village views on 3.15 acres. The Southport Harbor property also has a guest house. The main home features six bedrooms, six bathrooms, two half-baths and 7,165 square feet. There is also a pool, cabana and magnificent gardens. It is being marketed for $7,995,000.

“It’s a home that has everything and is in one of the best locations in Fairfield,’’ Smith said. “It’s close to Southport Village, Long Island Sound and major transportation thoroughfares. It’s hard to find a home that offers so much yet is convenient to so many things.”

Smith’s listing at 260 Willow St. in Southport sits close to Long Island Sound. The 6-bedroom Georgian home includes an astonishing 6,789 square feet of living space. It is set privately on 1.27 acres, and has undergone extensive renovations. A pool and pool house, complete with kitchenette and full bath, was added in 2002. The home’s asking price is $3,750,000.

“It’s a wonderful layout with grand entertaining spaces and terrific family areas,’’ Smith said.

Smith is looking forward to using Berkshire Hathaway’s marketing power to help her remain one of the state’s top Realtors. “Technology has been a game changer,’’ she said. “Small companies cannot keep up. Berkshire Hathaway is leaps and bounds above its competitors. It’s just terrific to work with them.”

Lis Reed, Smith’s daughter, is also a Berkshire Hathaway Luxury Collection specialist who will be working in Fairfield. “She sold six of my listings before they even went on the Multiple Listing Service, this year’’ Smith said. “My age group is selling the large expensive properties. Her age group is more apt to be the ones buying them.”
