FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Trumbull man faces drug charges after police stopped a driver for speeding on the Post Road in Fairfield Saturday and found his passenger with cocaine, police said.
The 22-year-old was charged with illegal possession of narcotics after police found him with about 2.83 grams of suspected cocaine in three knotted bags, police said.
The car he was riding in was stopped when police observed it traveling around 60 miles per hour near the traffic circle on the Post Road at 2 a.m., police said.
He was released on a promise to appear in court on July 11.
