FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Hulls Highway woman was charged with driving while under the influence after another motorist called police to report an erratic driver around 6:45 p.m. Saturday, police said.

Joan Cosenza, 76, failed field sobriety tests and was drinking alcohol from a cup while talking to the officers who stopped her as she was turning into a condo complex on Hulls Highway, police said. She refused a breathalyzer test, police said.

Cosenza was arrested on the same charge in Weston in 2008, police said.

She was released on $100 and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 18.
