A Fairfield woman who allegedly filled at least 10 prescriptions using a stolen prescription pad and a doctor's license number was arrested by Westport Police.
Police learned of the incident when a Westport doctor reported the possible theft of a prescription pad by an employee, said the Westport Police.
He told police his office manager had received a call from a pharmacy regarding a prescription for an employee, Kristin Futia, 37.
The doctor told the pharmacy he did not prescribe anything to Futia and the prescription was not filled, police said.
He later learned Futia had allegedly previously filled 10 fraudulent prescriptions using his prescribing license number, two of which were filled in Westport, police said.
Futia was arrested on Friday, March 15, and charged with two counts of forgery. She was released on a promise to appear ticket and is scheduled to appear in court on March 26.
