Police are investigating a break-in of a popular taco spot in Darien.
Officers from the Darien Police Department received a report on Monday, March 18 from the owner of Blue Wave Taco on Post Road, who reported that his employees alerted him to an overnight burglary.
According to police, employees that showed up to work to open the restaurant found that the rear glass door was shattered. Inside the doorway, there was a brick, which investigators believe was used to break the glass and gain entry into the building.
Police said that once inside, the employees and officers found that the cash register was missing, which contained approximately $300 in cash. Detectives responded to the scene to process for evidence, investigators noted. The investigation into the break-in is ongoing.
