FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Florence E. Greenawalt, a Fairfield resident, died Saturday, Oct. 10. She was 83.
Born in McAdoo, Pa., to the late Frank and Anna Baranosky, she had been a Fairfield resident for most of her life. Greenawalt was a member of the Fairfield Women's Club and was an avid tennis player.
She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas P. Greenawalt.
She is survuved by her children, Thomas P. Greenawalt II and his wife Elizabeth, Mark Greenawalt and his wife Sara and Donna Sedgwick and her husband Scott all of Fairfield; five grandchildren, Rachael, Marc and Danielle Greenawalt, Scott and Jessica Sedgwick; two brothers, Edward and Frank Baranosky; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Cemetery, Stratford.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 S. Benson Road, Fairfield.
