Road Work Starts On Route 135 In Fairfield Next Week

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Drivers on North Benson Road and Stillson Road in Fairfield should be prepared for delays later this month. The Connecticut Department of Transportation will repave the street starting July 11.

The project will mill and pave state Route 135, which covers North Benson Road between the Post Road and Stillson Road, and Stillson Road to Black Rock Turnpike. Work on the 2.58-mile stretch of road is expected to take about two weeks to complete.

Lanes of the road will be closed between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, until the project is complete. Traffic control crews will be on site to direct traffic.
