Duo Nabbed After Norwalk Shots-Fired Incident

Two Norwalk men have been charged for allegedly firing shots at a victim on a city street sending bullets flying around the area.

The incident took place in Norwalk on Garner Street around 11:50 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 6.

Norwalk police responded to the area of Garner Street after receiving several 911 calls regarding shots fired in the area, said Norwalk Police Lt. Joe Dinho.

Responding officers discovered evidence that shots had been fired, and thankfully no one was injured, Dinho said.

Dinho said the detective bureau assumed the investigation and determined that multiple suspects had fired shots at a victim on Garner Street. 

Based upon their investigation, arrest warrants were issued for two suspects including Troy Leigh Robert Brannen, age 26, and Desmond Mcfarlane, age 25, both of Norwalk.

Both men were charged with: 

  • Criminal attempt at assault
  • Reckless endangerment
  • Illegal discharge of a firearm
  • Conspiracy to commit assault

Both are being held on a $200,000 bond and are scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, Jan. 25.
