Alexander Brash, the new president of the Connecticut Audubon Society and a Cos Cob resident, will be introduced to members and guests.
Anthony Leiserowitz of Yale University will make the keynote speech, addressing climate change and its affect on birds.
Leiserowitz is director of the Yale Project on Climate Change Communication and a research scientist at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Science.
A frequent lecturer and TV guest, he will talk about the ways in which our perceptions of climate change influence our communications about the subject and therefore influence our behavior.
The Society will also give out its annual Dave Engelman Volunteer Benchmark Award for outstanding volunteerism.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
