FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Fairfield County schools should expect an influx of boys named Mason and girls named Olivia in the next five years.

The two names were the most popular in the state of Connecticut in 2014, according to data released by the Social Security Administration on Aug. 31. 

Noah, Alexander, Jacob and Liam rounded out the top five for boys in the Nutmeg State while Emma, Sophia, Isabella and Ava ranked Nos. 2 through 5 for girls, respectively.

  • Alexander

  • Daniel 

The top 10 for girls across the U.S. were:

  • Emma
  • Olivia
