A baby owl was rescued by Easton Police when it was found sitting in the middle of a busy roadway.

The Barred Owl was reported on the road during the evening on Thursday, May 23, on Beers Road, said the Easton Police Department.

Officers Tamara French and Donald Kinahan responded and were able to pick up the baby and bring him back to the police station.

One the department's dispatchers then transported him to Wildlife in Crisis in Weston who will care for him until he grows up enough to be able to be released in a few months.

The department sent a big thank you to Wildlife in Crisis for meeting them so late to help the cute little guy.
