FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield Theatre Company sends summer on its way with a performance by acclaimed songwriter John Hiatt and his band, the Combo, at the Klein Auditorium in Bridgeport on Saturday, Aug. 29.
Hiatt's work has been celebrated by his peers for decades, having been recorded by artists such as Bob Dylan, Bonnie Raitt, Emmylou Harris, Iggy Pop, Rosanne Cash the Jeff Healey Band, B.B. King and Eric Clapton. He is touring in support of his latest album 'Terms Of My Surrender.'
Performing alongside Hiatt will be noted blues band The Taj Mahal Trio. Led by blues legend Taj Mahal, the group with Kester Smith on drums and Bill Rich on bass will be performing in the area again after appearing at StageOne months ago.
The show starts at 8 p.m., with doors opening at 7 p.m. Tickets range from $35 to $85, and can be purchased online here.
The Klein Auditorium is at 910 Fairfield Ave. in Bridgeport.
