Fairfield Rotary Says Hats Off To Economic Development Director

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Fairfield's Community and Economic Development Director Mark Barnhart was honored with the Paul Harris Fellowship by members of the Fairfield Rotary Club at a recent noontime meeting at the Gaelic American Club.

The Rotarian Foundation presented Barnhart with the Fellowship to express its appreciation for his contributions to the town and the Foundation's humanitarian and educational programs.

The award is named for Paul Harris, founder of Rotary International, the world’s first service club, established in 1905.

The certificate the honoree receives states, “You have been named a Paul Harris Fellow in appreciation of tangible and significant assistance given for the furtherance of better understanding and friendly relations between peoples of the world.”
