Original story: DARIEN, Conn. — The southbound side of I-95 was closed in Darien due to a jackknifed tractor-trailer near the rest area, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation.

The crash occurred at about 2:10 p.m. Thursday as heavy snow continued to fall and blow in the area.

The highway, which is covered with snow in the area, is closed between Exit 10 for Noroton Heights and Exit 9 for Route 1, DOT said.
