The Darien YMCA Piranhas swim team is to host a team-only event with gold medal swimmers Maya Dirado and Josh Davis, according to event organizers.

The meeting at 8:30 a.m. Sunday will include poolside clinics, a question and answer session and autograph sessions, organizers said.

Dirado and Davis, who are coming at the invitation of the Piranhas, are the latest athletes to spend time with the group. Similar events were held in 2014 and 2015 with Rebecca Soni and Kim Vandenberg.

Joining Michael Phelps and Katie Ledecky, Dirado was a triple winner at the 2016 Trials with gold medals in the 400m Individual Medley, the 200m Individual Medley and the 200m Backstroke, according to event organizers.

In the 2016 Olympic Games, she took home four medals, including gold in the 200m Backstroke and 800m Freestyle Relay, silver in the 400m Individual Medley and bronze in the 200m Individual Medley.

Davis is the only man to win three gold medals at the 1996 Atlanta Centennial Olympic Games. In 2000, while serving as captain of the 2000 Sydney Olympic Team, he broke the American record three times in the 200m Freestyle swim - his signature event - according to event organizers.

Davis recently became the fastest man over 40 to set records in the 50, 100, 200 and 500 Freestyle swims, organizers said.

Sunday’s schedule includes:

  • 9 - 10:30 a.m. -- Pool clinic for Piranhas ages 11 and under
