Scattered Showers, Storms Will Usher In Colder Air: Here's Timing

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will lead to the arrival of a colder air mass, resulting in a return to unseasonably low temperatures.

With strong gusty winds, it will feel like it's in the 20s and 30s on Wednesday, April 16.

The timeframe for possible storms on Tuesday, April 15 is from mid-afternoon through the early evening, according to the National Weather Service. During that time, there will be strong winds with gusts of 30 to 35 miles per hour.

After the precipitation moves out, colder air will settle in following a surge of warmer temperatures earlier in the week. (see the image above from AccuWeather).

Skies will become partly sunny on Wednesday, April 16. The high temperature will be right around the 50-degree mark, but with wind gusts up to 35 mph, it will feel like it's in the 20s and 30s. (Click on the third image above.)

Thursday, April 17, will be mostly sunny with temperatures generally in the upper 50s.

Look for partly sunny skies and more seasonable temps on Friday, April 18, with highs in the 60s.
