A 46-year-old woman was arrested for alleged disorderly conduct following a domestic dispute over a text message, police said.
Amanda Davenport, of Darien, was arrested on Saturday, Feb. 8, by Darien Police following the dispute, said Darien Police Sgt. James Palmieri.
According to Palmieri, officers responded to a residence on Old Kings Highway North in regards to an altercation.
When they arrived, officers saw Davenport and the victim in the backyard of the residence with Davenport holding onto the sleeves of the victim's shirt, which appeared to have been torn, police said.
Officers separated the two and the victim told officers that Davenport had received a text message on her phone that caused the two to begin arguing, Palmieri said.
At some point, a physical fight started causing minor injuries to the victim and ripping the sleeves of the victim's shirt, police said.
Davenport was issued a misdemeanor summons for the disorderly. She was released with a written promise to appear.
