An alert has been issued by Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s assistance as they attempt to locate a man who allegedly stole food from a supermarket in Coram last month.

It is alleged that a man stole 20 packages of meatloaf from Stop & Shop on Middle Country Road at approximately 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16. The stolen items had a value of approximately $125, police said.

Investigators have released a surveillance photo of the man, who can be seen wearing jeans, a hooded sweatshirt, and backpack. Anyone with information regarding the stolen boots, or who has information regarding the suspects has been asked to contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-220-TIPS.
