A contractor reported the appliances missing on July 27. Tire tracks were found on the driveway, and the rear door to the kitchen had been left open, allowing water to flood the kitchen, the Darien Times reports.

The alarm system had also been disabled. And the water left considerable damage to the kitchen flooring, the Darien Times says.
