CT Man Hit By Car After Stepping In Roadway

A Connecticut man was struck by a car after stepping into a roadway outside of a crosswalk.

07/19/2022 9:30 a.m.

The crash took place in Hartford County in East Granby around 7:17 a.m.

According to the Connecticut State Police, David Addis, age 56, of Norwich, in New London County, was hit by a Honda Civic driven by Tiffany Wilkinson, age 23, of East Granby.

The crash occurred when Addis entered Route 20 near the Enterprise Truck Rental outside of a designated crosswalk area, state police said.

Wilkinson applied her brakes but was unable to stop before hitting Addis, state police said.

Addis was transported to St. Francis Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident is still under investigation.
