Darien Library Offers E-audiobooks Through Digital App

DARIEN, Conn. – The Darien Library has become one of the first libraries in the country to provide access to e-audiobooks through the 3M Cloud Library Digital Lending System, which allows patrons to get content from every major e-audiobook publisher via a digital application.

The app is compatible with iPhones, iPads, Android devices, PCs, Macs, NOOKs and Kindle Fires. NOOK and 3M eReader devices may be checked out from the library.

After downloading the app, users can enter their library card information to log into Darien Library’s system, where they can browse the collection and check out items.

“The 3M Cloud Library app makes it easy to listen to e-audiobooks,” said Mallory Arents, head of adult programming at Darien Library. “Unlike other apps, my place in a book is never forgotten and the one-touch button makes it easy to listen in the car or on home speakers.”

Patrons are encouraged to contact the library if they need assistance setting up the app or downloading e-audiobooks.

New content is offered in addition to the library’s existing e-book content from the 3M Cloud Library. The library also continues to offer e-audiobooks through OverDrive and Hoopla. For more information, visit 3M.com/Cloud and DarienLibrary.
