Darien High Senior’s Name In National Merit Finalists Tops News This Week

• Seven seniors at Darien High School were named as finalists for the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Program.
• Darien’s Rorys restaurant won third place in the Traditional New England Clam Chowder category at the sixth annual Chowdafest Connecticut.
• Castle Bar and Grill opened at 488 Summer St. in Stamford and brings the feel of dining in a European castle.
• Clarence N. Andrus, a resident of Darien for more than 70 years who owned Andrus Floor Sanding,  died at age of 89.
