Darien Wine Shop Hosts Charity Event In Norwalk

DARIEN, Conn. -- Nicholas Roberts Fine Wines in Darien will host the eighth annual Harvest Wine Tasting to benefit Turning Wine Into Water and Catholic Relief Services on Saturday, Nov. 16.

The event is the largest fundraiser of the year for TWIW, which has undertaken a new initiative this year.

It has committed $150,000 to a major Catholic Relief Services water and sanitation project in remote regions of Ethiopia, where thousands of children die each year from the lack of clean water.

The event will be a three-room wine tasting at The Avenue Gallery, located at 173 Main St., Norwalk, from 5 until 8 p.m. A list of wines that will be served in each room can be found here.

A special Champagne reception and Harvest Wine Dinner will follow the tasting at 8 p.m.
