The social media competition is just one of multiple opportunities for nonprofits participating in Fairfield County’s Giving Day to win monetary prizes.

Giving Day is a 24-hour online fundraising competition taking place on March 10, where supporters can go to the website and support their favorite local nonprofits.

The Darien Arts Center is hoping to raise $5,000 to support its programs in dance, visual arts, music and theatre. Last year, Giving Day, powered by Fairfield County’s Community Foundation, raised over $1 million dollars for 386 non-profits in Fairfield County.
