Pasquale F. Bruno, of Stamford, was charged with throwing objects at a vehicle, reckless driving, criminal mischief, and threatening, Connecticut State Police announced Tuesday, March 11.
The victim told police the ordeal began after around 1:30 on Dec. 27, 2024, when they spotted an Infiniti and a Hyundai driving erratically on the interstate in Darien, weaving through traffic and using the right shoulder to pass other cars, authorities said.
According to a police report, the situation escalated when Bruno's Infiniti attempted to cut the victim off, but the driver refused to yield. That's when Bruno allegedly threw a water bottle and an unidentified object at the victim while shouting, "I'm going to kill you."
The victim captured the ordeal on a dashcam and turned the footage over to police, who used it to link Bruno to the incident and secure an arrest warrant, authorities said. Officers arrested Bruno in Waterbury on Sunday after they spoke with him on an unrelated matter, state troopers said.
Bruno was released on a $10,000 bond, officials said.
