DARIEN, Conn. -- Registration for the Darien YMCA’s fall programs starts Tuesday on a tiered schedule.
Priority registration for current Y members who are now enrolled in the summer session begins at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Darien Y members who also are residents of Darien can register at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 30.
Darien Y members who are not residents of Darien can register starting 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4.
Open registration for non-members starts at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 6.
The fall program session is from Aug. 31 through Nov. 22. All fall program listings and information can be found here.
The Darien Y offers program registration both online, and through its mobile app “The HUB: Mobile Self-Service Portal,” which can be downloaded and used on iPhones, iPads, and Android devices. Search “HUB YMCA” through either the App Store or through Google Play.
Once downloaded, simply click “enroll” to browse available programs and classes, and add them to the shopping cart to register.
The Darien Y will offer a wide variety of programs for both youths and adults during this upcoming fall session. The program offerings this fall for children include swim classes for infants (parent and child classes), pre-school and elementary-age children.
Gymnastics classes are offered for infants (mommy and me) through middle-schoolers.
A range of sports are available for children, including volleyball for grades 6-8, basketball for grades K-8, soccer for grades Pre-K-8, flag football for grades 4-8 and baseball for ages 9-12. Other programs include a teen fitness series of yoga, Zumba and spin classes for ages 12-18, sports conditioning and team athletic training and classes on the Y’s rock climbing wall.
Special needs classes offered include a number of swimming, sports, fitness and enrichment classes for all ages, as well as the aquatic exercise water therapy program.
