Tickets will be sold outside 24 retail and non-retail locations on some weekdays, evenings and all weekends until May 26.
Tickets cost $5 each and will be sold by young adult Post 53 members outside locations including Bling, Darien Doughnut, Darien Little League, Darien Sport Shop, Dunkin Donuts, Espresso Neat, Fabricare Cleaners, Glen Liquors, Heights Pizza, Jake’s Place, Leary’s Liquor Cabinet, Nielsen’s Florist & Garden Shop, Palmer’s Market, Ring’s End, Stefanou Salon, Stop & Shop in the Good Wives Shopping Center, Stop & Shop in the Noroton Heights Shopping Center, Sugar Bowl, Swizzles Frozen Yogurt, Tengda Asian Bistro Darien, The Gardeners Center and Florist, Uncle’s Deli, Vavala’s Deli and Wild Birds Unlimited at a varying schedule.
Ticket sales also give people from town a chance to talk with Post members to learn more about the services provided, and you can get your blood pressure checked.
Founded in 1970, Post 53 provides emergency medical services to the Darien community at the highest level of excellence, using Darien High School students and adult volunteers. The members of Post 53 are committed to achieving and maintaining the highest level of training and skill in providing prehospital care and transport to the citizens of Darien. Post 53 is recognized locally and nationally as one of the finest emergency ambulance services in the United States, for its consistently high quality of prehospital emergency care.
