Passport Day Returns To Darien Library

DARIEN, Conn. -- The Darien Library will have four agents from the Connecticut Passport Agency ready to process and accept applications on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

The library will provide all the paperwork and have a space for photos to be taken. Passport renewals are also welcome.

Those wishing to complete a passport application should bring a birth certificate or naturalization certificate, one color 2-inch by 2-inch photo, a valid photo identification (such as a driver’s license) with a front and back photocopy of the ID, and personal check or debit/credit card for payment of the passport fee.

For passport photos, please bring cash or personal check for the $15 fee.

Please note that minors under the age of 16 cannot apply for a passport by themselves. Both parents/guardians must appear in person and provide consent, authorizing passport issuance to the minor.

If one parent/guardian is unable to appear in person, then the application must be accompanied by a signed, notarized Form DS-3053: Statement of Consent from the non-applying parent/guardian.

The Darien Library is at 1441 Post Road.
