DARIEN, Conn. -- The Darien Library is hosting a presentation of the film "The Prestige."
The 2006 film directed by Christopher Nolan is set to be shown at 1:30 p.m., Nov. 20, at the Darien Library as part of the monthly Wednesday Matinee series, according to a a press release.
"The film follows two young magicians on the rise, Robert Angier and Alfred Borden. Their friendly competition evolves into a bitter rivalry making them fierce enemies-for-life and consequently jeopardizing the lives of everyone around them. This film explores the darker side of magic where fantasy and reality become inextricably entwined and illusion prevails," representatives said in the release.
Claudia Puig called the film “wonderfully engrossing, darkly mysterious and entertaining from start to finish” in USA Today, according to the release.
