Darien Arts Center Art Show And Sale Opens Saturday

DARIEN, Conn. -- The Darien Arts Center will host its 56th annual Darien Art Show and Sale from Saturday, May 31, to Saturday, June 7, at the DAC Weatherstone Studio. Each day, art will be on display and for sale between noon and 5 p.m.

Visitors can expect to see oil and watercolor paintings, pastel drawings, prints and photography. A 25 percent commission on every sale will benefit the arts center.

Entrants, sponsors and donors are invited to the opening reception on May 30 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Cash award winners and the Ginny Wright Scholarship recipient will be announced. The Best in Show winner will be given a show at the Town Hall during spring 2015.

A Private Collector’s Night will be held on June 3 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. featuring adult prize winners, music by Doug Allen and food catered by Four Forks.

Artists will pick up their work on June 7 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on June 8 from noon to 4 p.m.
