Danbury Motorist Charged With DWI In Southeast Stop Nearly two dozen area motorists were among those busted by State and local law enforcement agencies have made a concerted effort to curtail impaired drivers in the Hudson Valley as part of a drinking and driving crackdown throughout the state. New York State Police troopers conducted a special detail over the extended President’s Day weekend looking for impaired drivers as they continue their STOP-DWI crackdown. 2.2 Magnitude Earthquake Reported Near Northern Westchester/Putnam Border Storm Watch: Latest Update On Timing, Projected Snow/Ice Totals Did you feel it? A 2.2 magnitude earthquake was reported early Wednesday morning near the Northern Westchester/Putnam about 3 miles north, northwest of Mohegan Lake. The earthquake was reported at 6:14 a.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey.  The quake’s epicenter was in Crofts Corner in Putnam Valley, and located 7.7 miles from Jefferson Valley and 9 miles from Peekskill, according to the USGS.
