Schools Call For Early Dismissal As Icy Rain Heads For Fairfield County

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — Because of slippery road conditions expected Friday afternoon from a storm, a few school districts in Fairfield County have announced early dismissals.

There's early dismissals in Bethel, Danbury and New Fairfield.

These school districts will dismiss students early on Friday, Dec. 22:

Bethel Public Schools
Danbury Public Schools
Henry Abbott Tech in Danbury
New Fairfield Public Schools

A number of area districts were already on early dismissal for the start of the holiday break.

A storm is expected to roll in by late Friday morning, bringing snow and freezing rain to much of Connecticut. The area is under a Winter Weather Advisory.
