DANBURY, Conn. -- John Clark has been named the new president of Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, according to the News-Times.
Clark is leaving his job as acting executive director of business and industry relations at City University of New York to come to Western by July 1, the story said. At CUNY, Clark is responsible for developing vocational and scholarship programs with private businesses for the university's students and faculty, the story said.
He will replace James Schmotter, who is retiring after 11 years as the university's president, the story said.
